The Website Design Project Process

We understand that as a busy small business, you probably won't wish to burden yourself with the technical issues of developing a web design project. We also understand that in most cases our clients do not have the time to produce the polished final copy & words required for a website.

Understanding You, Your customers and Your marketplace is vital to producing a website that will achieve your marketing goals. After we have met and understood your business then we can begin to translate this knowledge into a website design project. IE. A structure, a narrative + real design ideas. An initial meeting will typically last two hours. Following this there will be a number of action points and agreed timescales for information exchange and a deadline set for completion of the project.

With an understanding of your business Qi can begin the process of creating the copy and content which is all important in a website design project. In most cases you will have provided a written overview of your business, brochures or marketing materials. At this early stage we will start to consider search engine optimisation by researching keywords for each page and building these into the copy. You will be presented with a first draft of the copy for the entire site which can then be refined until you are happy.

We will provide you with a working proof of your Home Page for initial feedback. This will involve us bringing together the copy, supplied logos, documents, stock photos, supplied photos & tailored graphics. You can then feedback any wholesale changes or adjustments before work is started on designing out the rest of the website. Upon completion of all of the pages you will be asked to proof read the website and submit any final amendments to the copy or design.
